Weekend Fun!!

We had a great weekend, and even better weather! Saturday morning we had a garage sale. Not as successful as I would have hoped for but, we were able to get rid of quite a few things. If you were looking for a bargain you got it at our sale. I wanted to get rid of things more than make money! The left over items got donated to charity, so over all win-win!

Saturday afternoon the boys and I headed up to Canton to attend my best friend’s graduation party. We have known each other for 15 years, and I could not have been more proud of her! She has attended college while working, getting married, and oh yeah donating her kidney to her husband earlier this year. WOW! Through it all she was determined to finish. She has received her teaching license and she is going to be a fabulous teacher! Her party was at a park near where she lives and the weather was perfect for it! They had awesome BBQ! The kids ran around and played. Colin was a little under the weather but we still enjoyed our time visiting with her and her family!

A friend of hers made this awesome cake! It was so cute, and delicious! I failed to get a picture of the graduate, or her and myself, or her and the boys! Oh well!

Sunday we woke up with the intentions of going to church, but poor Colin was still not feeling well. He has been running a fever off and on since Thursday night, and just was pitiful. So we laid around until about 1:00 before heading over to my parents to visit!

It was a great weekend….and a great start to a fun filled week!

In Sickness and In Health...UPDATE

Thanks to so many of us that prayed for Jennifer and Nathan yesterday. I am happy to report that things went AMAZING!!! I went and visited with both of them today, and they are doing great. Nathan's body immediately took the new kidney!! Such a blessing!! Here's to a quick recovery for both!

In Sickness and In Health...

This very vow taken when a man and women joins in marriage. A lot of people don’t really deal with major illnesses of a spouse, but those who do uphold this very important vow. Today my very best friend is upholding this vow between her and her husband. Her husband has been diagnosed with kidneys issues a while back and has been in need of a kidney transplant. While being put on the waiting list she stepped up and had herself tested as a possible match. The test came back, and she was a match!! Such a blessing!! So please say a prayer for both Jennifer and Nathan as they both undergo this procedure this morning! Also a pray for the doctors, nurses and medical staff that will be involved in this procedure. We pray for a healthy and quick recovery!

Happy Birthday Jennifer!

Happy Birthday to the best friend anyone could ever had. Jennifer and I met way back in high school, ninth grade if I'm correct in English class. I was wearing, apparently a cheap pair of sandals and they broke. From then we have been best friends....actually more like sisters. High school was a blast, and I have so many memory's of our many night's out. She was there when I met Michael, and I was honored to have her in my wedding. She was a shoulder to cry or lean on when I lost my brother. When I gave birth to Christian and Colin. I was honored to be in her wedding and happy I was able to be part of her and Nathan's special day. Birthday, Holidays, good days and bad not matter what I know the she will be there for me. I am so happy to have such a great friend who accepts me for who I am, even though sometimes I think she would like to smack me upside the head, but that's what friends are for.
